edTPA Learning Segment:

Seventh/Eighth Grade Seasons Assemblages

Focusing on the process of association, this unit gave students the opportunity to combine painting, collage, and found objects to create an assemblage inspired by a season of their choosing. Students examined technology and media's relationship with art as well as how incorporating found objects can upend expectations about what art is.

Essential Questions: “How do technology and media influence art?” and “How do artists challenge our ideas and standards?”
